You are providing technical support to an end user, and uninstall the application, then remove the old database. Finally you install a new version of the software. But it is picking up the old data.
The probable cause is that Microsoft has put the database in the Microsoft Virtual Store folder location. This folder location can be found at: C:\Users\UserName.Domain\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\.
If you run Windows Updates and it fails, or downloads are set to be installed when you shut down your computer and they do not install successfully, or you install some software such as Kaspersky Internet Security and the installation fails then there is a simple solution.
Make sure that the following services are running: Background Intelligent Transfer Service, SPP Notification Service (Windows 7), SL UI Notification Service (Windows Vista), Windows Event Log, Windows Modules Installer, and Windows Update.
