This page will contain useful reporting information that I come across in my day-to-day activities as a programmer.

Syncfusion Essential Studio

I have been working on a memory assessment program called Lucid Recall that is an efficient assessment of working memory for children between the ages of 7 to 16.

I found myself needing a replacement PDF Viewer that could accept streamed input to replace an existing PDF Viewer Control that had an unacceptable start up time on first use. I came across Syncfusion Essential Studio for WinForms. This did just the trick. It’s start up time was fast, the displaying of the reports was consistently fast, I could replace iTextSharp and the existing poorly performing PDF Viewer, and it came with its own PDF creation API. As for the support from Syncfusion, they use an online ticket system called Direct-Trac. If you have a bug, feature request, or question you can use this system. The good news is that they are very good at getting back to you with useful interaction, usually within a day or two.

Their suite of controls also consists of controls for creating and editing Word and Excel without having Microsoft Office installed, very good control sets for creating advanced reports and dashboards, and they have very good user interface controls for ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, Mobile MVC, JavaScript, WinForms, Silverlight, WPF, and WinRT.

All-in-all a very good product suite with very good support. I recommend them as an existing user of their Syncfusion Essential Studio for WinForms control suite.
